Volunteer in South Africa
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM WILL RESUME IN JUNE 2021.
Volunteer Meraki Bay
Being a “Meraki volunteer” is more than just a social experience. We are looking for proactive profiles who want to change the world. Creative minds that implant their own model. Alternatives that look for a type of interaction adapted to the contemporary world. Use non-formal education to transform society. We’re looking for people. Human beings who completely break the current educational paradigm. That they belong to that sector of the restless population, that is not happy with things and does to change them. Do you see yourself capable?.
What I am gonna do?
Your volunteering will be divided into three parts within a timeline:
Stage 1 (3/4 days)
You will pass as a mere journalist through each and every one of our projects soaking up our methodology, creating constructive feedbacks and learning through the observation of our culture and coat.
Second stage (1 week):
You will choose the project that best suits your profile and spend most of your time developing it. You will train the local coach in everything you can bring to him and give him the leadership to be the one to execute what you have created as a team. You won’t fly, he’ll fly thanks to your wings.
Third stage (Rest of volunteering):
You will create your own project. You will look for something that we do not have, that we need and that you know how to implement. You’ll choose a capable local person. Together you will develop the new project from scratch, little by little, thinking in the future about offering a job to a local person. You will look for a space, a schedule, a local company that can finance the necessary material, a small salary for the local person, a future maintenance looking for viability so that, when you are gone, someone can continue to live thanks to your initiative.
Don’t think too big. Examples of this have been dental project, training in Yoga, Goalkeepers Clinics, Marketing for local businesses, recycling gasification, etc.
